• The Town Connector Trail and Three Sisters Preserve is right down our street. These trails connect you to the Hardy Road Mountain Bike Trails.

• The Wilmington town park is right across the street. The park includes a mountain bike pump track, skate park, tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball field, and playground.

• The Lake Everest beach is right around the corner. The beach includes a swimming area, volleyball court, and playground. The lake is part of the Au Sable River, which is known for world-class fly fishing.

• Lake Placid is only 20 minutes away

Wow wow wow! I came here with my family (5 adults, one child, and an infant) for Thanksgiving and it was such a wonderful stay. The kitchen was perfect for cooking our Thanksgiving dinner and the view of the mountains from the living room was stunning. If you’re in the fence about booking this stay - book it now! It’s so comfortable, perfectly located for hikes, an afternoon out in lake placid, or if you just want a quiet day staying in with the option to jump in the hot tub. The showers were also so nice! The space was perfectly clean when we arrived and the beds were comfortable. Jo was also so helpful and friendly. Responding almost immediately to every message I sent and proactively sending restaurant and other recommendations. This might be one of my favorite Airbnbs to date. My mom (who came with us and usually complains about almost everything) said “good job”. It was such a nice stay I didn’t want to leave. We will definitely be back.

This was hands down our best experience with AirBnb so far. I don’t think we have ever been in an Airbnb that was as cared for as this space. The pictures and the description don’t do it justice. We absolutely loved the quiet and peacefulness of the home, and the view of Whiteface everyday was unbeatable. The space was extremely clean, fresh, and comfortable. Jo was excellent with communication and quick to respond to our needs and questions. She quickly fixed an issue that was going on with the fireplace so that we were able to enjoy it during our stay. She also provided recommendations for local restaurants that were amazing. We found the guidebook with the list of places to grocery shop extremely helpful. We had a nice and relaxing stay at Jo's beautiful mountain home. It was exactly as described and the pictures were totally accurate. The house was clean and full of amenities as described. She was very responsive all along and all the instructions provided were very clear. She even went above and beyond and made a welcome gift basket for us. The views of the Whiteface mountain were serene and magical. She also made sure to pass along recommendations regarding local restaurants and hiking trails. There is a small grocery store with an attached gas station very close by in town where we were able to pickup groceries to cook our own meals (we had also brought some of our own from home). The store also has an awesome deli where you can get delicious deli style subs. Finally, Lake Placid is only about a 15 minute drive from the house. To summarize, we had a really nice, peaceful and relaxing stay at Jo's beautiful home while enjoying the mountains and nature. Highly recommended!!!

My family and I had such an amazing time staying at Jo’s cottage. The place was spectacular. It was Modern, clean and spacious and the views were literally breathtaking. Jo was such an incredible host both prior to our arrival as well as during our stay. He provided lots of recommendations and also assisted in any extra accommodation requests. I highly recommend coming here if you love the outdoors. There were so many great hiking places near by with great scenery as well in Lake Placid near by. I Highly recommend jumping into the water from gorge falls literally about 11 min. away and even risk the cliff jumping that so many were doing. Thanks again Jo for letting us rent your cottage making my family vacation memorable and stress free.

If you enjoy the Adirondacks, this is a great spot to settle. About 20 minutes from Lake Placid and Wilmington is a lovely spot with a lot to offer. Jo’ s place has 4 bedrooms, two floors, a nice hot tub and great views. She was super responsive to the minor questions we had during our stay. We had 4 adults and two kids and all enjoyed the house and our time. Expect to stay again - if available . TD

Jo's Place was wonderful! It was a perfect amount of space for our family of 8, spanning three generations. The mountain views from the kitchen were our absolute favorite! We also enjoyed cooking on the commercial stove in the spacious kitchen as well as the outside grill. Jo went over and above with communication and local suggestions. Great care was taken to ensure an adequate supply of linens, paper products and all necessary amenities. The cornhole set in the garage was a nice touch. The trail down the street was perfect for walking the grandchildren to the playground and bike park. The 15-20 minute drive to Lake Placid was super convenient. We would definitely stay here again when visiting this area!!

This is one of the top 10 places we've stayed. We LOVED Jo's pristine house. The view was one of the top things in the pictures that interested us in this rental and it did not disappoint!! The house was EXACTLY as described and in the pictures. There were just two of us so we did not need or use all the space. There is ample room for more guests to spread out throughout the house. Comfy firm beds. The mini split ACs were a blessing in quickly cooling down the upstairs, as the area was in the heat dome during our June visit to Wilmington. I loved the kitchen (the view is AMAZING) so much I opted to cook most of our meals in, instead of eating out! Many nearby hiking options and trailheads. Jo was great in providing local hiking tips and restaurant recommendations. The last day of our trip we spent the day relaxing in the house reading, enjoying some snacks and putting together a puzzle. I am already trying to figure out how quickly I can come back for another visit!!!

This was a 10 out of 10 experience all around! My family came for the eclipse and we cannot say enough good things about Jo’s place. The home is in a dream location, the views are spectacular, and the amenities are fantastic. If you like to cook, book this place!! Cooking on the wolf range and on the huge island looking out at the mountains was a treat. We got to experience snow and sun while here and my son was so grateful that Jo’s place had a sled to borrow. We also loved the ping pong table and other games. There were thoughtful touches throughout the whole house and we especially loved the small nods to the PNW since that’s where we’re from. I truly can’t say this enough—book Jo’s place! You won’t regret it.

The house was beautiful and super convenient to Whiteface for our ski trip — 8-9 minutes’ drive in the morning. (Oh, and the mini supermarket at the Mobil station on the way to Whiteface is great for picking up some groceries and supplies). Hot tub was clean and HOT! The kids loved it after skiing. The house was perfect for 3 adults and 3 kids; bathrooms were clean and towels, soaps and shampoo were plentiful. The mini ping-pong table was nice for the kids as well. We cooked dinner in one night, and have suggested to the owner that they keep a spare gas tank for the grill (as it ran out while we were grilling our steaks). But it was all good in the end and we had a great dinner party for 13 people. Nice big washer/dryer with detergent was also nice to have. Final bonus was the garage that could accommodate 2 cars, especially since there was a snow storm our second night there. The owner is very responsive and helpful, would love to return for our next ski outing.

We had the best stay here! We came with 2 families and there was plenty of space for the 7 of us. Everything was as described/pictured, the place was clean with provided house slippers, and we were even greeted with a lovely gift basket on arrival. The kitchen had updated appliances with fully stocked cabinets of silverware and dishes and we were able to cook and share many great meals there during our stay. The place was a quick drive away from both Lake Placid and Whiteface mountain, and the kids enjoyed using the hot tub after a day on the slopes! Even when the weather was less ideal, it was great just to relax and enjoy the lovely space. Jo was super responsive and very helpful. Overall a fantastic place! Would recommend and would love to stay again!

There is a trail across the street that brings you into "town" with multiple restaurant choices, the lake, and trails for both hiking and mountain biking.
